About the Event
Join us for an evening with Dr Nicky Keay on everything fuelling, nutrition, recovery, and energy availability for runners and endurance athletes. Nicky will explore the differences between nutrition needs for men and women, at different ages. She will share her expertise on relative energy deficiency in sport (REDs) and talk about how understanding our hormones can optimise health and performance.
This is a public event, not just for Dashers, so please feel free to spread the word and invite friends and family.

About Dr Nicky Keay
Dr Nicky Keay studied medicine at Cambridge University and went on to focus on the endocrine interactions with exercise and nutrition. She is the author of “Health Hormones and Human Potential: A guide to understanding your hormones to optimise your health and performance”. (Signed copies will be available to buy at the event.)
Her clinical endocrine work is mainly with exercisers, dancers and athletes, with a focus on relative energy deficiency in sport (REDs) and athletes navigating perimenopause/menopause. Nicky works to provide a more personalised approach for female hormone health.
Nicky authored the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine Health4performance.co.uk online resource. Nicky is medical advisor to Scottish Ballet and a keen athlete herself. She has a background in competitive swimming, gymnastics and tennis.
