An excellent MV40 win for Andy Cooney, and solid runs from Philip Jones and from Stephen Coleshill who recorded his fastest ever Wycombe Half time at his 7th attempt.

Tom Durance was our sole representative here, running a solid 1:38:15.

Half Marathon number 49 completed by Andrew Ogierman in Warsaw yesterday in a time of 2:03:04. Number 50 booked for next month

You would think that a race that gives its route as 14.4 miles but actually comes out at 16 miles dead on a Garmin would struggle to call itself a Half Marathon but that is what the enthusiastic folk at Endurance Life deemed to call their Welsh Coastal Path Trail Run last weekend. If I tell you that the entire field was walking after only 300 metres you may get an idea that there were some pretty stiff climbs to be found on the course and with the winner taking nearly two hours the event was – well - challenging.
But what a wonderful place to run. Stunning scenery and coastline, great trails and a truly inspiring organisation all add to a fabulous weekend. Anyone wanting an outdoors adventure challenge next year check out http://www.endurancelife.com
Brent finished 45th out of 169  in 02:30:30.

Chris Hunt is being his usual Mr Consistent in his marathon training, following up the Bath Half 2 weeks ago with the Hasting Half where he ran exactly 1 second quicker, finishing in 1:29:13 and in 156th place.

Immediate stand-outs are a new FV45 club record from Janet Binns by over 3 minutes, and an excellent new PB from Alex Miller.

Congratulations to Bella Shah who ran a new PB at the Bath Half Marathon, taking over 3 minutes off her previous best.

Ad Aspel ran this event, finishing in 1:53:04, his best time in several years.

Andrew Ogierman & Colin Adams decided that the delights of Wokingham in February simply weren’t exotic enough for them, and so Wednesday saw them both flying out to Hong Kong to tackle the Hong Kong Half Marathon. Well that was the plan, but Colin had been troubled with an injured heel in the run up so wasn’t entirely sure if he’d be able to run, whilst owing to a mix up Andrew arrived in Hong Kong without a place and not sure if he wouldn’t actually have to run the marathon instead. Fortunately a half place was obtained at the Expo and so both made it to the start line. Full race report when they return, but Colin finished in 2:00:58 and Andrew ran 2:09:47. Well done chaps

Mike May has been trying to break 1:40 for a half marathon for some time. After several near misses, today Jo Griffiths took control at the Race Your Pace event at Dorney Lake and paced/shouted Mike to his first sub 1:40 clocking and a win in the MV60 category. Well done Mike, and thank you Jo for showing the true spirit of club running.

Scott Hepburn went south to run the Portsmouth Coastal Half Marathon, which includes approximately 4 miles of off-road running on the beach. Despite this, and the strong coastal winds, Scott finished in 1:31:51 and an excellent 36th place from nearly 800 competitors.
