Somehow Lucy Buckby’s 41:11 time at the Swallowfield 10k slipped under the radar and wasn’t flagged up as being a new FV35 club record. This has now been rectified - well done Lucy ![]()
Congratulations to Lucy Buckby who set the first new club record of the year at Wokingham on Sunday. Lucy’s time of 1:30:22 knocked 30 seconds off her own senior ladies record. Well done Lucy.
Chris Bradfield returned to winning ways after a long lay off with a first place in the latest Black Park Parkrun in a time of 18:00, whilst Rachhpal Bath set yet another personal best and another club VM70 record, finally cracking the 30 minute barrier with a time of 29:49. Billy Bhamra meanwhile maintained her 100% attendance and leads the ladies points table by a large margin.

Rachhpal Bath broke yet another club record in fine style at the Windsor Half Marathon, being the oldest runner in the race, winning the MV70 category, and knocking over 6.5 minutes off his own MV70 record with a time of 2:25:18.
Hot on the heels of the last update, two new records at the weekend - another MV70 record for Rachhpal as he gets closer to the 30 minute barrier, and Andy Cooney took 37 seconds off his own MV40 Half Marathon time.
Rachpal Bath made his fourth record-breaking run last week, knocking another 27 seconds off his own 5k record at the Black Park timetrial. Well done!
Rachhpal Bath has broken his own 5k record, taking off 92 seconds at the Marlow 5k to finish in 30:38. He then followed this up with a new 10k record of 1:07:23 at the Wargrave 10k on Sunday.

Another two records fell at the Burnham 5K on Tuesday: Sharon Helsby broke the ladies V35 age group record which was previously the longest held record (last broken in 2000!) with a time of 20:29, whilst Rachhpal Bath set a new men’s V70 record with a time of 32:10. Tony Curtin claimed the men’s 50 vet record from Mike May at the Marlow 5 on Sunday with a time of 32:12 and a very impressive 81.6% age graded score, but to make up for it Mike claimed the 60 vet records with 35:57 and a 73.8% age grading. See the club records page for more records (and targets!).
